Went to this office looking for a pain management doctor. I was told I needed my medical records faxed to them and filled out a medical records release form.

They said it had to be done right away as they couldn't schedule an appointment without my records

Almost a week later they still hadn't faxed the release form to my surgeon despite three separate calls to the office from me asking if it had been faxed yet.

Each time I called no one picked up the phone so I left three messages. .

The release form was never faxed and I never received a call back .

The fourth and final time I left a message I told them I would be looking for someone else and the least they could do was to return my calls.

Still haven't returned my call. This place doesn't have the best reviews anyway and it is definitely a rinky dink little office. I think I may have dodged a bullet.

BTW, I was going through the bad reviews and came upon this interesting response from Dr Benders office to a one star. I copied and pasted. Sounds like the office manager I spoke to. Not super educated.

You are the one who needs to take the blame if you knew this then you should have taken her to a new doctor. Don't just sit there and bad mouth a perfectly great Doctor, this man deserves the utmost respect So all you children that just have nothing better to do than poor mouth good Doctor's PLEASE SHUT YOUR DAMN PIE HOLE

Was going to Doc Bender for 15 years. Went in to office on the day my appointment card said I had an appointment and they told me I'm not a patient there anymore. That they sent a discharge letter to my house. They never did. It took me a week to find a new doctor. I was in crisis mode and they didn't care about me. But through the years, I was led to believe they did. Sad story. I heard it's happen to other patients there now too. Good luck

Dr Bender is a compassionate and very understanding doctor. He is very knowledgeable and up to date on all aspects of pain management. It is easy to get an appointment which is so important when you are living with bad pain. He does injections for various pain problems such as neck and back.
I would recommend him to friends and family as well as anyone seeking a pain management doctor.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Bender off and on for years. I’ve always found him to be honest and compassionate. More importantly is that he has an extensive knowledge about pain and it’s treatment.
If you’re looking to scam him don’t bother. You will not be happy with the outcome.
I’m old and in poor health. Life would not be as good to me without his intervention.
Can’t say enough good things about Dr. Bender and his staff.

Dr Bender is one quack in my experience. He doesn’t let you finish talking and he jumps to conclusions. I brought in an mri- with my wife standing next to me. He”looked “ at the mri, and even my wife commented Bender can’t read an mri. He actually looked at the ceiling. One time, after Bender returned from a meeting with his divorce lawyer and his soon to be ex-wife, he was doing injections into my spine. He ACTUALLY put the needle into my right shoulder socket. Be ware. After finding a true pain management surgeon, he said the protocols previously done were not up to “today’s levels”, and said he has heard not much good about Bender. I’m so much better than when I suffered with Bender. All of this is my experience and my personal opinions. I wouldn’t let Bender work on a dead possum.

Dr Bender is awesome doctor who takes his time with his patients and listen’s to you and helps you Not just writes prescriptions and sends you on your way . Like some other doctors.

I had just relocated my mother here from Maryland and with her being in such poor health, my main concern was not just getting her an appointment quickly as much as finding her a great doctor which I did get both when I found Dr. Bender. Ashley was so amazing from the start. She was so compassionate to my mother's situation and we feel she went above and beyond to make that appointment so quickly. You can feel the warmth from behind her desk as soon as you walk in. Then walks in Dr. Bender, whom I must state is not hard to look at, not one bit!! And he was just so awesome with my mother, he was kind, understanding,and treated her so gentle. He had such patience as he explained everything to her and myself as well. My mother was left in terrible shape by those she trusted. She is 77 and is very sick and was evicted, robbed, and hurt. Now I have her here with me and I know with Dr. Bender's help we will get her better. I believe that in my heart. Thank you so much Dr. Bender, Ashley, and staff. You all are the bomb!!!!!!

Been going to Dr Bender for over 7 years. The girls who work there,you just can't get any better people! You feel like when you walk in that door,you are like going into your second home,even with the patients that he has. There is not a thing I can't talk to Dr. Bender about and any kind of problem you have he goes out of his way to make sure it's taken care of,the same with the girls who work there. Dr. Bender will sit there and listen to your complaints and not in a hurry to rush you out the door. Sometimes with other patients he has to spend a little bit more time ,but that's ok with me cause sometimes I may have to use a little bit more time. I have never been kept waiting more than I should be and like I just said,if so,its ok cause sometimes I need a little bit of more time. Dr. Bender is very good listener and explains anything and everything if you don't understand. I have to receive injections in my back and he tries very hard to make you comfortable on the table and tries very hard to make sure that he doesn't hurt you when he is doing the injections and talks you through what he is doing and makes you laugh at the same time!! The atmosphere in the office is very relaxed like I said and you feel like your one big happy family and that so helps,it does me when you are hurting and in pain.
