I had heard Dr Shaheen was supposed to be the best around so that’s who we went to when my husband was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Our first visit was after they did a stress test. When he came in he sat down and said “your a very sick man”. This is what we are doing.. prescribed meds, got up and walked out. Literally was in there maybe 5 min. He left us in the room shocked, crying, and thinking he was dieing. He wanted him to go in and have a heartcath done but couldn’t get it done for 2 weeks. That was on a Friday. Sunday we went to the ER because he was having chest pains. They admitted my husband in hopes to do the heart cath the next day. That’s when he found out that his kidneys had some damage. We had to wait a week in the hospital before they did the heart cath. If Shaheen would have just went in and did it he would have damaged my husbands kidneys even more with the dye. That was the second HUGE strike. Once they got his kidneys to a baseline they did the heart cath and found out he needed a triple bypass. We ended up being in the hospital 14 days and only saw Shaheen twice! We went in for 6 week post op. His PA came in and she really didn’t want to answer any questions we had. When Shaheen came in he again said “your a very sick man”. We are going to give you these meds and put in a defibrillator. Was in the room 5 min. Once again wouldn’t answer any questions. We finally decided enough was enough so was able to get into a dr at the Oklahoma Heart Institute. They are AMAZING!! Our first visit our dr sat with us for 2 hours!! We actually felt like this is not a death sentence like Shaheen made us feel like. He is to busy to spend any time with his patients. I actually know someone who’s dad died 2 weeks ago because Shaheen doesn’t have time to actually spend with his patients and listen to them!! I have heard multiple stories like this or he just pushes them off and says “let’s wait and see what happens”

Dr. Shaheen is the best cardiologist, he saved my life more than once! The awards he has received are definitely warranted! I have missed him since I moved to PA, but when I get back to my home in KS he will be the first Dr I call for care!

Every person in the office is VERY NICE ... Dr Shaheen is an amazing person, he explained every detail of my tests to me. He made me feel very comfortable. He truly cares about his patients. You can tell from the very first time you meet him!

Dr. Shaheen saved my life 10 years ago and was super sad I had to move out of the state after 2 years of being his patient. 7 years later and I am again his patient and super excited. I can’t rave enough how much Dr. Shaheen is a wonderful doctor. Very personable, caring, and highly knowledgeable. Highly recommend Dr. Shaheen.

No doubt that Dr. Shaheen has earned the trust of many many patients, nurses, and referring physicians to be one of the best if not THE BEST in Wichita KS. He is very knowledgeable, down to earth, and he is all for his patients interest. When I refer a patient to Dr. Shaheen, I know my patient will be well taken care of and I will be proud of the feedback. No doubt the best in Wichita.

Over prescribes medication, killing his patients.. lots of missed and wrong diagnoses. Should not be allowed to touch anyone ..
